Contributors and Staff
Metro Connection is produced by the WAMU news room with the same attention to detail and technical standards as NPR's weekly news magazines. Additionally, the program is joined by contributors from around the D.C. Metropolitan Area who lend their own knowledge and love of the area to a deeper understanding of the place we all call "home".

David Furst
Host, Metro Connection
Producer David Furst has been with WAMU since 1997. He began as a reporter, working on local segments for Morning Edition and producing news pieces for Metro Connection, WAMU's local news magazine. Now he is the Host and Producer of Metro Connection -- which basically means he has to make sure there isn't any "dead-air" on 88.5 FM between 1 PM and 2 PM every Friday.

Fred Fiske
Senior Commentator, Metro Connection
Fred Fiske is Senior Commentator at WAMU 88.5 FM and a 50-year veteran of Washington-area radio. He can be heard every week on WAMU's news magazine, Metro Connection, which airs on Fridays at 1pm.

Stephanie Kaye
Assistant Producer, Metro Connection
Stephanie Kaye reports on arts and culture events for the WAMU 88.5 newsroom and the weekly Washington, D.C., region news and arts radio magazine, Metro Connection, and broadcasts local live newscasts.

Donovan Kelly
producer, Crummy But Good
Donovan Kelly once said, "I've never met a food I didn't like." A statement made inoperative since the invention of broccoli. He now concentrates on "the quest for the holy grill" as the Crummy but Good restaurant editor for Metro Connection.
